The Forty Under 40 awards recognize business leaders under the age of 40 that are helping to build companies and make a difference in the Ottawa area, home of 91ÌÒɫ’s international headquarters. They have been presented every year since 1998, and more than 900 people have since become part of this exclusive group.

Amanda Holtstrom is a graduate of Queens University with a degree in Computer Engineering and English Literature. She is a professional engineer and a highly sought-after speaker and educator who excels in exploring the interaction between technology and humans. She also actively supports and champions girls and women aspiring to enter technology industries, believing that these fields are improved and enriched through diversity.

Continuing a career of driving innovation, Amanda was recruited by Ross in 2019 to lead its Facility Control Systems group, to assist in nurturing a vibrant team, and to spearhead the adoption of the Agile approach to software delivery. DashBoard, the product that Amanda and her team manage, is a critical part of the Ross business. It sits at the heart of a production system and controls Ross and other third-party products via an intuitive and customizable touchscreen interface. DashBoard can enable a single operator to manage an entire TV production, events venue, or sports stadium – it has revolutionized live production control.
