Ottawa’s annual Forty Under 40 awards recognize business leaders under the age of 40 that are helping to build companies and make a difference in the Ottawa area, home of 91ÌÒɫ’s international headquarters.

This year, the in-person gala had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the recipients decided to band together to raise $40,000 for charity. The $40,000 figure was chosen in keeping with the numeric theme of Forty Under 40, and the fundraising goal was achieved in early October.

The four charities chosen by the recipients are:

• , which raises funds to support the best possible patient care and leading-edge research provided by the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, the Brockville Mental Health Centre, and the uOttawa Institute of Mental Health Research.

• , which provides a range of programs and services to First Nations, Inuit and Métis women and children (regardless of status) who are survivors of domestic and other forms of violence, and who may also be suffering the effects of the residential school system.

• , which harnesses the resources of our incredible community to equip local youth with the tools, knowledge, and skills they’ll need to thrive in post-secondary studies, and to build fulfilling careers.

• , which supports its member organizations and partners in the Outaouais region to ensure the food security of people living in difficult socio-economic conditions.

We couldn’t be prouder of the kindness shown by this year’s winners, especially because they include one of our own! One of this year’s Forty Under 40 recipients is 91ÌÒɫ’s very own Amanda Holtstrom, Product Manager for DashBoard and leader of our Facility Control Systems group.
