Ross Production Services Produces World Feed For 2020 WNBA Season

The WNBA is back. The 2020 season has begun and features a 22-game regular season followed by playoffs and finals. The season started on July 25th, and all games are being played in a bubble-like environment without fans in attendance at Feld Entertainment Studios in Bradenton, Florida.

The league’s production will also operate out of Feld Studios, and Ross Production Services is on-site to produce the WNBA world feed. This feed is provided to CBS Sports Net and selected regional sports networks. On-air talent for the broadcasts will be working remotely out of their home studios.

The WNBA has made the health of the teams, league staff, and production teams a top priority. To ensure safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, the league is utilizing a two-bubble system. The first bubble contains all WNBA players, team staff, and some league personnel. The second is comprised of broadcast and production staff.

Broadcast staff are located behind a plexiglass barrier on the opposite side of the court from where the players’ benches are located. Camera usage has also been modified – more robotic cameras are being used to minimize the amount of production staff on-site.
