Today, Ross is pleased to announce the latest upgrade to its 4K UHD signal conversion problem solver – Gator Toolbox.

Gator Toolbox v2.0 will offer several upgrades, including discrete audio embedding and de-embedding capabilities, quad-link SQD Gearbox (in addition to 2SI), 12G-SDI fiber support, and user presets to enable operators to quickly recall common configurations.

Gator Toolbox v2.0 – Delivering peace of mind by addressing your signal conversion needs

The introduction of discrete audio embedding and de-embedding functionality within Gator Toolbox adds even more flexibility to your live productions. With up to 8 programmable bi-directional AES inputs (for a combined 16 channels), Gator provides a robust signal processing solution that can handle the conversion of balanced or unbalanced audio.  

In addition, with the ability to deliver up / down cross conversion, frame synchronization, and framerate conversion, Gator Toolbox seamlessly integrates live content from multiple signals and delivers high quality UHD productions with low latency. 

Best of all, Gator Toolbox is easy to configure with the ability to program user presets and can be monitored through Ross DashBoard and Ultritouch Smart Panels.

What else is new?

Our 12G-SDI portfolio includes the Master Control (MC1) UHD card. Adapted from the powerful MC1 system, MC1 UHD supports HD and UHD workflows, scaling from stand-alone branding to multi-channel master control installations.

The 12G Relay Bypass, Detour, is also available within our UHD portfolio and allows for fail-safe on-air operation in the event of power failure or primary input signal loss. Finally, v3.1 of our Raptor IP Gateway solution has recently been released, offering greater robustness, compatibility and diagnostics, which simplifies integration into ST 2110 facilities. Raptor is an attractively-priced 6×6 HD-SDI / ST 2110 IP Gateway.
