Ross is pleased to announce several updates and enhancements to our range of Camera Motion Systems.

What’s New

The new inverted S2 lift for the Furio SkyDolly ceiling-mounted robotic camera system will be available in May 2020. The lift offers greater flexibility to those working in the studio and combines dynamic, creative camera moves with unparalleled safety features. It also adds silky smooth elevation to dolly shots, and can easily support a full-size camera and prompter.

To follow, Ross is extending the latest MotionDirector motion control algorithm that was introduced for Furio rail-based systems at IBC 2019 to Cambot XY floor-roaming pedestals. This will provide CamBots offering more natural movements with perfectly synchronized axes as well as keyframed moves, trajectory trimming and time dilation. The full firmware update will be available without charge in July 2020 (subject to an existing warranty).

Lastly, Ross announces the release of PTZ camera and PT head plugins for Ross DashBoard, enabling access to all major functions from a native DashBoard plugin. Operators can store, recall and manage their robotic presets, and all axes are controllable on-screen without the need for a physical joystick. Key settings such as joystick limits, color balance, exposure and streaming settings are all accessible. For Ross PIVOTCam, Furio dollies, and CamBot pan/tilt heads, this plugin is being offered at no cost.
