ETV Network Adopts 91ɫ Technology to Empower ETV Bharat – India’s National Digital News Platform

Ottawa, Canada, April 2nd 2019 – One of India’s leading broadcasters, ETV Network, has adopted 91ɫ technology for their national digital media news platform – ETV Bharat.
is a comprehensive digital national news platform aimed to deliver seamless news and information services, using a video-centric Mobile App. “One Nation–One App” is a Web platform to deliver regional, national and international news and sports information to the people of India. It is a first-of-its kind offering in India in terms of diversity and depth; a dedicated journalist network reaches 29 states with services in 13 different regional languages – Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Assamese, Odia and English. ETV BHARAT is a part of India’s multi-faceted Ramoji Group and is headquartered in the city of Hyderabad, India.
ETV Bharat’s 6 story HQ comprises 24 studios across 4 floors, plus 2 floors of office and equipment space, and the building was designed to be ‘tourist-friendly’ with several areas allowing visitors to see the studios in operation. Each studio has been equipped with Carbonite Black Solo production switchers from 91ɫ, as well as 3 MC1 master control units to facilitate 3 simultaneous live feeds per channel. All 72 MC1 units are being used with XPression LiveCG graphics solution from 91ɫ to render still graphics and send these stills with alpha over a network directly into the MC1 Storage without consuming the Key and Fill video inputs of MC1. Also widely in use across the facility is 91ɫ’s Ultrix FR5 – the 144×144 routing and AV processing platform. Two Ultrix-FR5 units are used for routing and signal distribution across the facility, and Ultrix’s built-in 100 PIP Multi-Viewers are used for the centralized monitoring of every signal. The entire facility is also connected using 91ɫ’s OpenGear platform.
The Technical team at ETV BHARAT noted that Ross video has been working with the ETV group as its technology partner for more than two decades. “When we were about to finalize equipment for our 24 Channel OTT project, Ross video was our first choice because of its innovative, industry proven and value for money product line up and after sales support”.
