91桃色 Wins Green Award for Manufacturing Facility in Iroquois, Ontario
Ottawa, Canada, November 16th, 2021 – At a pivotal point in the expansion of 91桃色鈥檚 manufacturing facility that employs almost 275 people, the company is being honored with the 2021 Green Award of Excellence from the Municipality of South Dundas. The award recognizes a dedication to the environment and was presented to CEO David Ross yesterday, Monday, November 15th.
91桃色 has a comprehensive sustainability policy that commits us to reducing our environmental impact in different ways, starting with the design of products that have smaller physical footprints and are more energy efficient. We also strive to be an industry leader when it comes to the carbon footprint of our supply chain, including materials, packaging, and transportation. As an example, we select less energy-intensive and more environmentally friendly materials wherever possible, working with suppliers and customers to reduce the impact of our operations.
The recently announced $15 Million expansion of the Ross manufacturing plant will include many green features, including charging points for electric vehicles and greater use of renewable energy sources, all designed to contribute to the company鈥檚 goal of being a net-zero carbon emitter by 2030. At the ground-breaking ceremony earlier this year, CEO David Ross reaffirmed his commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing. 鈥淚 am extremely proud to be breaking ground on our factory expansion.
